who runs Closer.

Closer is a product of Better Together Technologies (“BTT,” “we,” “us”), a company incorporated in Delaware, United States. It’s a sibling to Close and lives at closergame.xyz. These terms cover any visit to that domain and any account or waitlist record you create.

you have to be 18+.

Closer is for grown-ups. By using it you confirm you’re at least 18 years old in your jurisdiction. We rely on your honest answer to the age gate — if you lied, you don’t have a licence to use Closer and we can terminate your account without notice. Don’t bring minors into the room.

what Closer does.

Closer is a web-based card game for couples and groups. It sends opt-in prompts to consenting adults during windows they choose. It is not pornography, not a dating service, and not a hookup service. Nobody on Closer can contact you without you having explicitly invited them, by email, into your group.

We’re pre-launch. Right now you’re joining a waitlist. The product, the pricing, the features, and the timeline can all change. You don’t have a guaranteed slot, a guaranteed launch date, or a guaranteed price.

what you agree to.

  • You won’t use Closer to harass, coerce, or otherwise mistreat anyone — including the people you invite. Consent is the product.
  • You won’t invite anyone you don’t have a reasonable basis to believe is also 18+ and would welcome the invitation.
  • You won’t share, scrape, reverse-engineer, or republish Closer prompts, the prompt catalogue, or any other proprietary content.
  • You won’t attempt to bypass the age gate, billing, or any other access control.
  • You’ll keep your account credentials private. If your couple-hex link leaks, tell us and we’ll rotate it.

invitees.

When you invite someone by email, we send them a single message inviting them to join Closer. They’re under no obligation to accept and can opt out forever with one click. We treat their email the way we treat yours — see the Privacy notice.

Don’t invite anyone you wouldn’t feel comfortable forwarding an article about Closer to.

billing.

When Closer launches a paid surface, payment runs through Coinbase Commerce (USDC, BTC, ETH). Crypto payments are non-reversible by the protocol. If you pay by mistake or believe you’ve been overcharged, contact us and we’ll work it out — but we can’t guarantee a refund and we won’t lie to you about that. App Store rules forbid us from using Stripe.

ending the relationship.

You can leave Closer at any time by emailing hello@bettertogether.technology. We’ll delete your waitlist record, your account if you have one, and your couple- or group-membership rows. Some operational logs (billing receipts, abuse-prevention) may persist as required by law.

We can suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, if we’re legally required to, or if continuing your account would put other Closer users at risk. We’ll tell you why when we can.

no warranty, limits on liability.

Closer is provided as is. We try to keep it working and we try to keep it safe; we don’t promise it’ll be available without interruption, free of bugs, or fit for any specific purpose. To the maximum extent allowed by law, BTT’s total liability to you for any claim arising from Closer is capped at the amount you’ve paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50 — whichever is greater.

governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute that can’t be resolved by an honest email exchange goes to the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we both consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing in this clause limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have in the country you live in — those still apply.

changes to these terms.

We’ll update this page when the product or the law changes. The last updated date at the top will move. If a change materially reduces your rights, we’ll email account holders before it takes effect.
